See what I did there? Today’s blog name’s idea is by Celyn.
My blog name is inspired by Lang Leav’s debut novel, Sad Girls and her poetry book, Love & Misadventure.
June. 25, 2017: Today is the day of Lang’s Sad Girls book signing at Glorietta 2 Palm Drive, Activity Center. I was with my friend, Celyn.
We arrived at the venue at exactly 10AM which is okay because its the start of registration, but few minutes of lining up, the guards approached us and said that they need to cut off the line because the registration reached the 1k slots already. (Probably if you’re there with us, you’re going to see us being annoyed and hear us bickering with each other.)
And while we’re at the line, I didn’t noticed that Ate Vienna and Ate Junice were already in front of us, I was shocked. (I knew both Ate Vienna and Ate Junice since then because they’re one of the admins at 5 Seconds of Summer Philippine Street Team and I’m a 5SOS Fam too!)
The reason why Ate Vienna and I met is because she gave me her books! Take note, its her six books that I think she purchased from Scholastic’s book hoarding last year.
CAN YOU IMAGINE I FINALLY MET MY TWO FAVORITE PERSONS IN THE 5SOSFAM? (And BTS, too.) 💙✨
And to add up, they’re both bloggers and I’m going to link down at the end of this blog their WordPress links!
I didn’t have the chance to meet Lang Leav personally but I got to see her beautiful and lovely face from a distance during her talk. Celyn and I were both hoping that all of us who haven’t reached the limited slots would be able to be accommodated by the staffs. I guess, this isn’t the right time to finally meet Lang but at least I saw her.
I live for Lang Leav’s words. Its like she can read my deepest, darkest secret that’s trying to hide behind my shadow. All of her poetry pieces are so beautiful and you can really relate on them. She’s one of my role model/s and inspiration when it comes in writing poetry. She always puts my feelings into words that everyone can relate to it.
After the Lang’s interview, they proceeded at the main part of the event which is the book signing. So as for us, we don’t have any queue numbers for the signing and what we did is we went at KFC to eat our late lunch and after that we headed to National Book Store’s Stationary Fair at the grounds. (We’re both annoyed, disappointed, sad and stressed about what happened at the book signing. We still can’t help but not to be pissed off.)
I was so excited to enter the main booth that’s why I didn’t took any pictures. What I did is that I just lurked around the area to find artsy materials. Because who doesn’t love art materials, right?
We’re like endorsing Dong-A pens HAHA. Anyway, we bought some gel pens and brush pens! (Get yourself some Dong-A Neon Gel Pens at NBS! They said it’ll be out after 1-2 months. Those pens were first released for the event.)
We were really tired and everything and what’s done is done so we’ll see Lang Leav soon! Lesson learned: Wake up early and arrive at the event’s place as early and as possible as you can. I guess we enjoyed ourselves a little bit.
We were really literally sad girls because of what happened but we were able to see Lang for a short time of her visit here in the Philippines. I really hope we can meet her the next time around!
I’m so happy too that I was able to finally meet both Ate Vienna and Ate Junice. They’re soooo pretty and kind! Same to my friend, Celyn. After many attempts of planning our burger date, it finally happened! We got to bond with each other for a couple of hours.
This is just the first blog for Sad Girls Misadventures. I might write one again soon! 💘
