Sad Girls’ Misadventures

See what I did there? Today’s blog name’s idea is by Celyn

My blog name is inspired by Lang Leav’s debut novel, Sad Girls and her poetry book, Love & Misadventure.

June. 25, 2017: Today is the day of Lang’s Sad Girls book signing at Glorietta 2 Palm Drive, Activity Center. I was with my friend, Celyn.

We arrived at the venue at exactly 10AM which is okay because its the start of registration, but few minutes of lining up, the guards approached us and said that they need to cut off the line because the registration reached the 1k slots already. (Probably if you’re there with us, you’re going to see us being annoyed and hear us bickering with each other.)

This is my snap when we’re both still hoping and lining up. It says please have mercy on us. LOL.

And while we’re at the line, I didn’t noticed that Ate Vienna and Ate Junice were already in front of us, I was shocked. (I knew both Ate Vienna and Ate Junice since then because they’re one of the admins at 5 Seconds of Summer Philippine Street Team and I’m a 5SOS Fam too!)

The reason why Ate Vienna and I met is because she gave me her books! Take note, its her six books that I think she purchased from Scholastic’s book hoarding last year.

These are the books that Ate Vienna gave to me! I was too lazy to think of any flat lay ideas for these lovely babies but I just did a simple flat lay and added some filter!

And to add up, they’re both bloggers and I’m going to link down at the end of this blog their WordPress links!

#LangLeavinPH 🦋

This was the view of the whole event when I was in the second floor.

I didn’t have the chance to meet Lang Leav personally but I got to see her beautiful and lovely face from a distance during her talk. Celyn and I were both hoping that all of us who haven’t reached the limited slots would be able to be accommodated by the staffs. I guess, this isn’t the right time to finally meet Lang but at least I saw her.

I live for Lang Leav’s words. Its like she can read my deepest, darkest secret that’s trying to hide behind my shadow. All of her poetry pieces are so beautiful and you can really relate on them. She’s one of my role model/s and inspiration when it comes in writing poetry. She always puts my feelings into words that everyone can relate to it.

I went near to the stage as I can outside the barriers but its so limited to move. This was during Lang’s Q&A Interview.

These two Sad Girls books are mine’s and Celyn’s. I took these when we’re eating lunch. Lol.

#HappySpaceAtNBS 🖤

After the Lang’s interview, they proceeded at the main part of the event which is the book signing. So as for us, we don’t have any queue numbers for the signing and what we did is we went at KFC to eat our late lunch and after that we headed to National Book Store’s Stationary Fair at the grounds. (We’re both annoyed, disappointed, sad and stressed about what happened at the book signing. We still can’t help but not to be pissed off.)

I was so excited to enter the main booth that’s why I didn’t took any pictures. What I did is that I just lurked around the area to find artsy materials. Because who doesn’t love art materials, right?

These were only our picture from today’s event. Though there’s one but I didn’t put it here hehe.

We’re like endorsing Dong-A pens HAHA. Anyway, we bought some gel pens and brush pens! (Get yourself some Dong-A Neon Gel Pens at NBS! They said it’ll be out after 1-2 months. Those pens were first released for the event.)

We were really tired and everything and what’s done is done so we’ll see Lang Leav soon! Lesson learned: Wake up early and arrive at the event’s place as early and as possible as you can. I guess we enjoyed ourselves a little bit.

We were really literally sad girls because of what happened but we were able to see Lang for a short time of her visit here in the Philippines. I really hope we can meet her the next time around!

I’m so happy too that I was able to finally meet both Ate Vienna and Ate Junice. They’re soooo pretty and kind! Same to my friend, Celyn. After many attempts of planning our burger date, it finally happened! We got to bond with each other for a couple of hours.

This is just the first blog for Sad Girls Misadventures. I might write one again soon! 💘

HopeLand in Manila

First of, Hopeland in Manila is a photo exhibit by Hopefulwish masternim for BTS J-Hope. She is a fansite noona who takes pictures of J-Hope from fansign events, from airports, concerts and etc. Hopeland in Manila is her first exhibition in the Philippines. It was held at A SPACE Philippines in Makati on June 10 and 11 2017, both Saturday and Sunday.

But for me, I attended Day 1 (June 10, Saturday)

Hopefulwish masternim announced the 2nd Hopeland exhibit last May 17, 2017 for the Manila stop. 2 days after (May 19), she released the fill up form that has the information for the photo exhibit as well for the ticket price. Luckily, the entrance fee is so affordable! Its only 250php and it already includes the A4 poster and ticket. She closed the form and she re-opened it the day after (May 20, 10AM PHT) for the form to be fill up after you’ve payed. But since it was weekend, she said that we may fill up the form then the deposit may happen on Monday (May 22). When you’ve already filled up the form, your slot is already reserved. To make it short, my Mom accompanied me to the nearest bank to pay for the entrance fee.

June 10, 2017 (Saturday) • DDAY! HopeLand in Manila 🦋

I was with my Mom and my friend, Lorie. We were first headed to Landmark to meet my exhibit buddy, Mau. Basically, I was alone for the 3PM-4PM time slot and then I found Mau on Twitter who’s also looking for an exhibit buddy. Yay for that! 💛

After we met Mau and Tita Lyn (Mau’s mom), we all headed to A SPACE. At the venue, Mau and I were left by our Mom’s and Lorie. We met our twitter friends and while waiting, we also made new friends!

There were so many pictures that I took but I won’t post it here because it may take too long. But I’ve uploaded all of them on my Facebook account.

It was such a long and tiring day yet an amazing one! ❤️

I was able to meet my Twitter friends in real life and I also made new friends while at the exhibit. I really had fun when I was with them.

Hands down to all of the exhibit staffs and especially to Hopefulwish masternim for making this HopeLand happen. All of your efforst are paid off, thank you so much!

To my exhibit buddy, Mau: THANK YOU SO MUCH! You’re so fun to be with! I had an amazing time with you! I hope I get to see you soon again!! 😃💖

A Fangirl’s Encounter: Meeting Greyson Chance!

Who says dreams don’t come true?

6 months ago, I finally met the first love of my life when it comes to the music industry. Well, I’m going to introduce him first.
Have any of you heard of Greyson Chance? Maybe some of you may know him and maybe some don’t.

Greyson Chance is a 19 year old singer – song writer and pianist from Edmond, Oaklahoma. He is first discovered in YouTube because of his cover of Lady Gaga’s song “Paparazzi” and after that, he was able to be in The Ellen DeGeneres Show. After being featured in the said show, that is where all he started to compose music. He has his first album Hold On Til The Night that was released last 2011 with the singles “Waiting Outside The Lines” and “Unfriend You”.

Truth Be Told EP, Part 1

Following the release of his Truth Be Told EP Part 1, with the single, “Sunshine and City Lights”.

After a long while, Greyson is back in the music industry with his new EP, Somewhere Over My Head, with the single, “Back On The Wall”. As for his new EP, he finally went back to Asia to promote it. He travelled back to Malaysia, Singapore and Philippines.

June 24, 25 and 26 are the dates scheduled for his show/promotion. The first show venue is at Eastwood, second show is at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill and the last and third show is at Uptown Mall.

June 24, 2016 – First show at Eastwood
June 25, 2016 – Second show at Venice Pizza, McKinley Hill

Last June 25, 2016 was one of the best moments that ever happened in my whole life. I was able to witness Greyson’s performance at the Venice Piazza in McKinley Hill. Luckily, I won a meet and greet pass. I was with my two friends, and we’re accompanied by my Mom on a Saturday morning. When we arrived at the venue, the line was not that long but I guess the first ones were there at 1AM. As time passes by, the line was getting longer and longer and its getting hotter and hotter. When we reached the place wherein we could buy the EP, my friends are still hoping that they’re going to still get a meet and greet pass where the EP, tote bag, event and CD signing stub is included but then a guard approached us and said that we’re already in the 100+ fans in the line because the meet and greet will only accommodate 100 fans and while the CD signing will only accomodate 400 of the fans.

I was with my friends, Lorie and Angelika. The three of us lined up to buy the SOMH EP and as you can see, Lorie is holding the umbrella because we were already sitting on the ground while waiting.

No one can ever bring us down taking pictures while lining up. Hehe.

Snapchat: meeehri | After lining up for about 6 hours, we were able to get the CD!

Its been a stressful one lining up just to buy the EP and to be able to get an event stub but when I witnessed Greyson’s performance, I can say that its been all worth it after waiting for almost 5-6 years. Its so surreal! I can’t believe that I would be in the very front row and watching him sing and play his piano. It’s like a dream come true for me because I’ve been really waiting for this moment to come.

Lorie, Angelika and I lining up and waiting as we go inside the main venue.

I was with my co winner and we’re both together with Greyson. This is during the photo op and Greyson personally requested that it should be done by 2’s!

This was after we had the photo op with Greyson. This is me ready to get down the stage, lol. All credits to my best friend, Angelika for taking this stolen shot of me!

When its already the M&G, it was by 2’s and me and my co winner was the first one to meet Greyson! I talked to him and he did the same too. He held my hands and his hands are so soft! He put his left arm around my shoulder and I placed my right arm on his waist and took a photo. The second time at the same venue was the CD signing and it was the second time I’ve talked to him. Its been a great one meeting Greyson and I really hope that I would meet him again very soon.

And all the pictures that I’ll post below are the after show pictures we took!!

We were accompanied by my Mom, thanks to you! I was able to see Greyson perform and I got to meet and talk to him after years of waiting. 💙💙💙

And 6 months today, I met Greyson. Who said dreams won’t come true? Its just a matter of time waiting for it to happen. Finally, after 5 long years I was able to talk and meet him! I’m really looking forward in meeting him again soon! (Sorry, but I cropped the other one hehe.)
